This upcoming weekend is the Jacksonville Historical Society’s Great Fire Run, a 5k and 1-mile run that benefits the society in honor of The Great Fire of 1901! 

Marks Gray, P.A. president Frederick H. Kent currently serves as the president of the Historical Society and was interviewed by Channel 4 News about the significance of the fire and their upcoming event.
