Marks Gray, P.A, is pleased to announce Crystal T. Broughan has joined the Jacksonville based law firm. Of Counsel, Ms. Broughan’s practice focuses primarily on intellectual property matters such as, trademark, patent and copyright infringement cases. She prepares and files trademark and copyright applications, licensing agreements, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements for a wide variety of clients. In addition, she represents clients before the Trademark Trials and Appeals Board on trademark registration disputes.
Ms. Broughan received her B.S., (1981) and her J.D. (1990) from Florida State University and is a licensed member of the Florida Bar Association, United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit and United States District Courts: Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. She has served on the Florida Bar Association’s Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee (2008 – 2014), the Code & Rules of Evidence Committee (2005 – 2008) and the Criminal Procedure Rules Committee (2002 – 2005). In addition she has served as the Chair of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Franchise Intellectual Property and Technology Law Committee (2012-2013), the Professionalism Committee (2009 – 2010) and the Law Week Committee (2007- 2009). She served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Advisory Committee for Arson Prevention (2009-2010).
Ms. Broughan was named the 2012: Insurance Lawyer of the Year, by the Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee (FIFEC). She is a member of the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel and a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville, Class of 2010 and Leadership Orlando, Class of 1984.
