This November 15-17th, the International Trademark Association is holding its annual Leadership Meeting in Houston, TX. This is an invite-only conference for board members and leaders of committees for the Association. Since I have been serving on the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee since 2020, I am fortunate to be included in this meeting of intellectual property minds.

I will be traveling to Houston to attend the meeting and give a brief presentation to the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee that week. I am really looking forward to reconnecting with fellow trademark attorneys and agents from all over the world – plus learning more about the world of trademarks. After all, an essential way to stay afloat in the IP world is to maintain a healthy sense of curiosity and an openness to learning new things.

In that vein, I am also excited to share that I will embark on a new journey of IP leadership in 2024: I have been selected to serve on the INTA Copyright Committee in the new year.  Since my practice includes both trademark and copyright services for clients, the assignment to the Copyright Committee will be a great educational experience and networking opportunity.
