The past five months have really been rough on our local restaurants, pubs, bars, and taprooms. First they were all shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So they had to build up their takeout and delivery services. Then they were allowed to partially open. And then shut down again. 

Some establishments have gotten creative and developed new ways to conduct business.

Culhane’s Irish Pub created $10 boxed lunches and started marketing the boxed lunches to local businesses. The boxed lunch menu includes sandwiches and kale salads, a chocolate chip cookie, and your choice of fruit/veggie/chips sides. The Culhane’s will deliver the lunches to your office with good Irish cheer.

The Story of Culhane’s Irish Pub

Culhane’s Irish Pub is an authentic Irish restaurant owned and managed by four sisters from Ireland; Lynda, Michelle, Mary Jane and Áine. 

All four sisters grew up on the family farm in Ireland where they learned valuable lessons about hard work, how to get through difficult times, quality food, and Irish traditions. They opened the doors to their first pub in 2005 in Atlantic Beach. And it became a favorite of everyday diners and culinary critics. Then in 2019, they purchased their second pub off of Southside Boulevard. 

The Culhane sisters are committed to delicious comfort food, fine drink, and exceptional guest service. In addition to developing a new boxed lunch menu, the Culhane’s have created their own brand of vodka, 5 Sisters Spirit Vodka®, which is locally crafted in Florida.

The Culhane sisters made the smart decision to register their trademark for 5 Sisters Spirit Vodka with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The registration of the trademark adds value to their business as they gradually expand their market beyond Jacksonville. 

Culhane’s Irish Pub has been recognized as the best Irish pub and restaurant by Bold City Best, Folio Weekly, Void, and Jacksonville Luxury Magazine. They were also featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and received a 2019 Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor.
