Summer Travel Tips, Tip #1

by | Jun 7, 2010 | Immigration Tips

With the summer rapidly approaching and the dollar strengthening against the Euro, many Americans are planning to spend their vacations traveling overseas. Here is the first in a series of helpful tips you may want to follow to ensure your trip is enjoyable, relaxing and incident-free.

Know Before You Go!
Check the entry and exit requirements of your destination.  While most countries allow foreign visitors to enter and stay for up to 90 days without a visa, some countries such as China, India, Brazil and Russia require U.S. Citizens to have obtained a pre-arrival visa. The Department of State’s website offers country-specific information for every nation across the globe, including travel warnings, security information and entry/exit requirements.  If your trip will require additional entry requirements, be sure to start the process well before purchasing your ticket!
