During the last few weeks, we have been receiving Receipt Notices for selected petitions and keeping our fingers crossed that we would get more. But, USCIS announced that it has completed the data entry for all of the FY17 H-1B petitions selected during the lottery.

USCIS will begin returning all the H-1B cap-subject petitions that were not selected. USCIS is unable to provide a definite time frame for returning these petitions and asks that no inquiries be submitted relating to the status of these petitions until we receive a receipt notice or an unselected petition is returned.

USCIS will issue an announcement once all the unselected petitions have been returned.  This announcement may imply that unless we have received a receipt notice for a particular H-1B case, that case was not selected and it will be returned in the mail during the next few months.
