Marks Gray is pleased to announce Shareholder and Business Immigration attorney Giselle Carson was unanimously elected as Chairwoman by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) Board of Directors on September 25, 2017.
Jacksonville Aviation Authority Board of Directors is comprised of seven members. Three members are appointed by Jacksonville’s mayor while the other four are appointed by the governor of Florida. Each board member can serve up to two consecutive four-year terms. Ms. Carson previously served as Vice-chairwoman and Treasurer with the organization.
The JAA owns and manages the Jacksonville Airport System. The Jacksonville Airport System is a diversified airport system that serves the commercial, business and recreational aviation needs of the City of Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia (the Community).
