Immigration Success Story: I-140 Petition – EB-1 Outstanding Professors and Researchers

The Marks Gray Immigration Team regularly helps clients with I-140 Petitions in the EB-1 Preference for Outstanding Professors and Researchers. This month, we are highlighting a success story of an internationally recognized physics professor and researcher from Romania.

We prepared a strong petition highlighting the candidate’s advanced degrees, outstanding ability in the field of matter-materials physics, international recognition, publications, and significant contributions to his field, as well as his employer’s permanent need for his services.

The I-140 in the EB-1 Preference for Outstanding Professors and Researchers is for professors and researchers with international recognition for their outstanding achievements in a particular academic field.

Our documentation, up-to-date knowledge of USCIS’ requirements, and thorough preparation led to a great result: an approval of the I-140 and his green card!

After receiving his green card, our client wrote us:

“I couldn’t help but ‘turning back time’ almost twelve years ago when a very young, former high-school teacher arrived in the U.S. with only $400 in his pocket but with hope, dreams, academic skills and potential, and determination to succeed: I have to say that I am pleased and very grateful for how things turned out so far.”

“Thank you so very much for your team’s outstanding work and support with this pivotal green card matter!”

Our clients, the professor and the college, are thrilled with the results and to have him as a permanent staff member.

The Marks Gray Immigration Team is proud to be a part of this journey.
