USCIS Conducted a Second Lottery for FY 2025 H-1B Cap

by | Aug 8, 2024 | H-1B/H-4, Immigration

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducted a second lottery for the fiscal year (FY) 2025 following the initial selection process in March 2024.

Key Highlights:

  • The second lottery was required to meet the H-1B visa quotas due to insufficient initial H-1B filings meeting the filing requirements.
  • The second lottery started Friday Aug. 2nd and ended Monday Aug. 5th
  • The visa numbers available for this selection were very small but welcomed.

What to do next?

We are working with our clients to file those selected cases in the next ninety days.

To our Foreign Nationals: If you have not heard from us, it is because you were not selected.

We understand how disheartening this can be, but please remember that this process is a lottery. We are grateful for your employers who believe in you and are investing their time, energy, and resources in this process.

We remain hopeful for future opportunities and are here to support you through this journey.
